We cater to our dams and sires.
There is much time and effort involved in raising English Jack Russell Terrier puppies. To start, the dam and sire must be healthy and happy. All of our little Irish Jack Russell Terriers live inside our home and are with us always. They have free reign of the most active parts of our home, are fed a nutritious, species-appropriate raw meaty bones diet, receive routine veterinary care. Every English Jack Russell Terrier in our home participate in our day-to-day lives and some in a variety of terrier sports, including Rally-O, Canine Nose Work and weight pulling.

Our puppies are monitored 24/7.
Monitoring our Shorty Jack Russell puppies for sale is of utmost importance at Toomevara and it is also our greatest pleasure. The puppies are whelped in our bedroom, a private area of the home away from the other little Irish Jacks, so that the mother will be in a stress-free environment and receive our undivided attention. We are by her side from the first stages of labor through the last puppy's delivery. The Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies and mom are kept in a roomy crate with soft bedding and moved to the office during the day, where we may keep a watchful eye on them and then moved to our bedroom at night. Starting on day 3 and continuing through day 16 of life, we use the military-founded Bio-Sensor Program for early neurological stimulation, ensuring our English Jack Russells for sale are well on the learning path before their eyes and ears even open.

Our puppies have fun while they learn.
Puppy enrichment = paramount in raising a well-rounded English Jack Russell Terrier puppy. Once the puppies' eyes open and they begin to move around, they are moved from the crate to a puppy pen, with bedding, a toilet area and toys to enrich their environment. We begin to expose our English Jack Russell Terrier puppies to different sounds, textures/surfaces, toys, obstacles, smells, simple problem solving and an array of different people. Early training and house breaking basics are introduced before your Irish Jack Russell Terrier goes home with you. Our Shorty Jack Russell puppies for sale are also conditioned to clicker training and are raw fed while in our care.

Our puppies have a home with us always.
Should any of our Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies find themselves without a home, we require that all families return to the pup/dog to us. Never will one of our puppies find themselves in a shelter. We microchip all our Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies for sale to provide lifetime identification and will always welcome them back in our home should the need arise.

As a responsible Irish Jack Russell breeder, we routinely perform DNA and health testing on all of our dams and sires to ensure we are breeding healthy, genetically sound Jack Russell Terriers. Our English Jack Russell Terriers have completed the following genetic & general health screenings and certifications:

• DNA Profiling along with testing for 28+ genetic diseases
• Thyroid certification by OFA
• Luxating patellae certification by OFA
• Blood chemistries and complete panels
• BAER testing (to certify bilateral hearing)

Why all the different names for Jack Russells?

The Jack Russell Terrier is known by a large variety of names these days and this can lead to a lot of confusion.

All of these names refer to a Jack Russell Terrier who is slightly longer than tall. They are unique in their stature and sweet in disposition, bred for their excellent temperaments and robust health.

You will notice that we do not refer to our terriers as "puddin jacks", as this term has become synonymous with a terrier suffering from achondroplastic dwarfism. Our Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies for sale do NOT suffer from achondroplasia/dwarfism. Our terriers are a type of Shorty Jack Russell measuring slightly longer than tall, but not dramatically so, and they do not have disproportionate features. Our English Jack Russell Terrier puppies are balanced, have normal, fluid gaits and do not suffer from spinal or skeletal genetic malformations.
